For those of you of the braver nature, take a drive along the meandering
cliff top roads with breathtaking scenery – used in countless
films of the James Bond ilk.
Walking distance from the Marina Riviera Hotel, the town of Amalfi
slopes gently upwards. From the dome of the imposing Cathedral Sant’Andrea
to the Arabic magic of the Chiostro del Paradiso, or the history
of the “Tavole Amalfitane” found within the Museo Civico,
Amalfi has something to offer everyone. It is from this sweeping
seaport that they claim to have introduced Italy to coffee and carpets.
And at the nearby Valle de Mulini paper museum you can witness these
claims coming to life. Explore each street and stairway for the
hidden cafes and restaurants which explode with cuisines both native
and foreign.
