The Marina Riviera is without doubt the best hotel in Amalfi – I’ve stayed in most of them and the only one that comes close to this is the (name provided). Where do we start? The rooms are all immaculate and well looked after; the view of the sea, the bay and the whole town of Amalfi is incredible; the breakfasts is far and away the best in the town; the staff are kind, warm and perfectly cordial; the owners are kind, warm and perfectly cordial, damn, even the mosquitoes are kind, warm and perfectly cordial!

Nothing but praise for the Marina Riviera in Amalfi. The hotel is perfectly located, has everything you could possibly ask for in a stay in Amalfi and is exceedingly comfortable to boot, with a lot of little extra touches that you didn’t even know you wanted, like top quality courtesy kit in the bathroom. It’s big enough to wander around with your own thoughts but also small enough to be able to find staff that know your name when you need them.

This hotel was fantastic in every way – much better than the other hotels we’ve stayed in on the Amalfi Coast. They looked after us in every way, every inch of the hotel is beautifully designed and decorated with masterful skill, but the service, attention to detail and the hundreds of little things that combine to make your stay perfectly comfortable are the best thing – right down to the little chocolate they leave on the turned-down cover of your bed!
